Preface
In the process of writing
the book, I have come to realize the difficulty in producing a book that
will ˇ°workˇ± not only for law students and attorneys who are relatively new
to the field of intellectual property law, but also to the general public
readers all over the world.
My goal in writing the book
is not to supplant the litigation casebooks now on the market, but rather to
let the readers make their own judgments by providing readers a real "feel"
of a Chinese judge's thought in decision-making
Dongtao on Law
consists of 99 cases covering principle legal doctrines of Chinese copyright
law, trademark law, unfair competition law, contract law and cyberlaw. Each
case has been carefully designed with an illustration for the purpose of a
succinct demystification.
I gratefully acknowledge
professor Dorothy
Li and professor Michael W. Franklin of the John Marshall Law School for
their precious encouragement and very helpful feedback on earlier
translations of this book. |
